Jurassic Pete
Pete Wilson, a member of the Republican party, served as the mayor of San Diego from 1971 to 1983, a United States Senator from California from 1983 and 1991, and as the 36th governor of California from 1991 to 1999. I was invited by the Sacramento Press Club to display this sculpture at a roast for Pete upon his leaving the governorship. I happened to meet him at the elevator while taking my sculpture from the hall. He was a good sport and smiled.
